The coolest new tools in Microsoft PowerToys

Back in Windows 95, PowerToys were a useful tool that allowed users to further customize the experience. Now, Microsoft is reviving the project for Windows 10. The first preview of the new PowerToys apps includes two features, including a Windows keyboard shortcut guide that simply overlays a guide with keyboard shortcuts you can use for any active window.

Then there's the FancyZones feature, a window manager designed specifically for multitaskers. This feature lets you create custom zones on the screen and then automatically resize the app with a simple drag and drop. Although you can always use the Snap feature on Windows 10, FancyZones offers more customization so you can arrange windows however you want. (This is a work in progress, so it's not fully functional yet.)

For more information on using FancyZones, see this walkthrough video from Microsoft.
