As part of its Patch Tuesday rollout, Microsoft released firmware updates for all Pro versions of Surface on Thursday, including Surface Pro 3, Surface Pro 2, and Surface Pro. The biggest update package affects Surface Pro 3, which gets improvements to UEFI, graphics, wireless controller updates, and even a driver update for the Surface Home button.

The “System Firmware Update – 15.01.2015” brings the following updates for the Surface Pro devices:
HD Graphics Family Driver Update: (v10.18.14.4029) improves display stability and performance and improves the user experience when using Miracast adapters. Improves compatibility with DisplayPort monitors and daisy chaining.
As always, Microsoft is rolling out updates gradually, but you can also download the firmware update manually by going to PC Settings > Update & recovery, tapping Check now, and then proceeding with the installation.
