Now, in preparation for the big day, the software giant is making available a Windows 8.1 Preview update that aims to reduce bugs and other issues when upgrading to Windows 8.1 Final.
Remember that installing the update isn't the only thing you need to do for a smooth transition to the new operating system. This is not an unusual practice if you remember that in the past Microsoft released an update for Windows 8 users to allow them to install the preview version of 8.1.
