Today, Microsoft is the largest software company in the world, generating over $80 billion in revenue annually and controlling over 90 percent of the computer market. This "small" dream made Paul Allen and Bill Gates billionaires and Bill Gates the richest man in the world and a great philanthropist, as he now spends most of his time and money making the world a better place and has promised to donate 95 percent of it to charity until he dies. He is still part of Microsoft as a technical advisor to Satya Nadella, and to mark Microsoft's 40th anniversary, Bill Gates sent out a new email to employees, originally tweeted by Amit Roy Choudhary, which the company confirmed:

Tomorrow is a special day: Microsoft celebrates its 40th birthday.
