Windows 11 Copilot: THE BEST tips and tricks
Microsoft is testing a new feature in Windows 11 that will cause the Copilot AI interface to open automatically on devices with wider screens. The new behavior is already available for testing on some computers enrolled in the Windows Insider Program Dev Channel.
According to Microsoft, this new behavior is specifically for devices with a screen size of at least 27 inches and a pixel width of 1920 pixels, and is limited to the primary display in multi-monitor configurations. The company also says that it is just an experiment, which does not mean that it will become a permanent feature.
Although the company is only toying with this new idea, it follows the pattern of behavior of applying mechanisms to trick users into using certain features. We have already seen a similar strategy when the company decided to automatically launch Microsoft Edge to open links from the search and widget experiences even after changing the default browser settings.
