New to Microsoft Edge Workspaces – shareable tab groups!
Although Microsoft has not yet confirmed Spartan's new features, the new report states that the new browser will include Cortana. Microsoft is working on making its digital assistant to help users with tasks like booking hotels, flights, package tracking, and other functions within the address bar. Adding Cortana to the Spartan browser is expected to replace any Bing implementations we see in Internet Explorer today.
Spartan will include ink support so Windows 10 users can add notes to web pages using a digital pen and send the notes embedded in a copy of the web page to others using OneDrive. Users with access to the notes you share will also be able to doodle on the web page and share changes with the group.
Another unique feature of the browser is a new way to group tabs to declutter the multiple tabs that are always open. According to the same report, Spartan will allow users to group tabs in a more personal way. For example, users will be able to separate tabs related to work from tabs with personal content.
