Microsoft is reportedly working on an x86 emulator for the ARM-based version of Windows 10. However, the company will not integrate this feature until the "Redstone 3" update, which is scheduled for release in fall 2017 – months after the release of the Windows 10 Creators Update (Redstone 2).
Although Windows 10 has yet to take off on mobile, Microsoft still believes in the future of the platform, and Continuum is key to that.
Continuum is the feature that allows Windows 10 Mobile devices to connect to an external monitor as well as a keyboard and mouse, transforming a phone into a PC-like experience. However, there is one "minor" inconvenience: users can only run the new modern apps from the Windows Store.
