Do you know Google+, Google Search, Google Images, Google Maps, Google News, Gmail, etc.? Then you probably also know the Google Bar, the not-so-pretty black stripe that runs across the top of all Google products. As part of the redesign that has been ongoing since June and was supposed to make Google more useful and beautiful (or so it was thought, because since then there have been more dislikes than likes), the black bar is now gone, it's done, gone, done. In a new post on the official Google blog, the search giant announced that it is replacing it with a new pop-up menu that opens on hover when you hover over the colorful Google logo.

Say goodbye to deepfakes! New Google Algo Update
In addition, the new Google Bar will still show you the number of notifications from your Google+ account. It can also show you who added you to a circle, what activity has happened in your stream, or what posts have been shared with you. And if you have something new to say, you can share it and post it to Google+ by simply clicking the + Share button.
Instead of the horizontal black bar at the top of the page, you'll now find links to your services in a new Google dropdown menu nested under the Google logo. We'll show you a list of links, and you can access additional services by hovering over the "More" link at the bottom of the list. Click what you want, and you're good to go. – Eddie Kessler, Chief Technology Officer, Details.
