How to enable advanced spell checking in Google Chrome [Tutorial]
This is the search giant's way of telling you that it has updated the spell checker's dictionary and that your custom dictionary will now sync across devices when you're signed in to Chrome. This is an addition to the Chrome App Launcher that was introduced not too long ago.
The company also added new support for grammar, homonyms, and contextual English spelling in the Ask Google for Suggestions feature. If you've never used this feature before, it uses the same technology as Google Search and complements Chrome's built-in dictionary by sending words and terms to Google's servers and returning better suggestions to help you write better.
These new updates are available in the latest beta version of the popular web browser for Windows, Linux, and Chrome OS. Mac users will have to wait a little longer.
