Notepad, the classic text editor that has been part of Windows since its beginnings, is getting Copilot integration. Starting with version 11.2401.25.0, the text editor gets a new "Explain with Copilot" option in the context menu, which helps you understand different types of content, such as logs, program code, or selected text.
However, in this update, Copilot is not actually integrated with Notepad. Instead, it is an option that sends a text string directly to the chatbot AI. You can also select code, text, or logs and use the keyboard shortcut “Ctrl + E” to perform the same action.
Essentially, this would be the same as performing a typical copy-and-paste action from the editor into the Copilot panel.
