Windows 10 Creators Update: “Update Assistant” installation process
Microsoft appears to be planning to release the next major update for Windows 10 (Creators Update) in March 2017, according to a reference to "Windows 10 version 1703" in the latest Insider Preview, first spotted by Twitter user WalkingCat in the latest test build of the operating system.
The number “1703” refers to the year and month of release, as Microsoft previously used the same notation for the Anniversary Update, which was designated “1607,” indicating a July release, and for the November Update with the notation “1511.”
Although the company has not yet announced a specific release date for Windows 10, version 1703, there have been several test previews that revealed some of the features and improvements coming next year.
