Microsoft is releasing a new update to its Surface Hub app that adds a new option to disable the Windows key on Surface Pro 3 running Windows 8.1. For quite some time now, there have been reports from users, especially artists, who find the placement of the Windows key on Surface Pro 3 a bit odd and frustrating when using the device with the Surface Pen.

Back in October, the company released the Surface Hub app for the tablet. At the time, it only offered users the ability to control the pen's pressure sensitivity and choose which version of OneNote (desktop or universal app) should launch when pressing the pen's top button.
Today, Microsoft is adding another option and users can now enable the Windows key on Surface (default) or disable it completely. This is good news for many users who have had to resort to workarounds to fix this problem in the past.
