Microsoft has introduced the world to the Surface Pro 3, which is thinner, lighter and more powerful than its predecessor, the Surface Pro 2. And the company touted this tablet as the first device that can actually replace a laptop in every way, not only because of the hardware that the Surface Pro 3 offers, but also because it can run all kinds of applications, from modern apps to any traditional desktop application (like Photoshop, iTunes, Chrome, etc.), on a beautiful 12-inch display. A lot has changed with the Surface Pro 3. The new screen is 30% larger than the Surface Pro 2, and with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1400 pixels, the new tablet offers 50% more pixels. The aspect ratio is 3:2 in portrait mode. Users will notice this when they see that Microsoft has moved the home button to the right side of the bezel.
The new tablet has a new ventilation system and a single fan for cooling, but it is still a bit noisy at times, such as when installing updates or using an app that requires a lot of system resources. It is, however, quieter than the Surface Pro 2.
