How to enable the Slide to Shut Down feature on a Windows 10/11 PC
Since the first Windows Blue leak a few days ago, a flood of new information has surfaced about features and changes that may be included in the next Windows 8 upgrade, scheduled for later this summer. And now three more interesting features have been discovered:
“Slide to Shutdown” is a potential new feature in Blue. It was first spotted by WinBeta.org and is currently only visible when running an EXE file in the famous System32 folder.
With Windows 8, Microsoft introduced the world to a new user interface along with a new application model. These new modern apps (also called Windows 8 apps or Windows Store apps) are great because they focus on content and keep buttons, options and settings out of the way. The only problem, however, is that they need to be updated manually and when you start installing a lot of them, maintenance can become a chore.
