Microsoft Edge Chromium: Download and installation process
You can now download the first "beta" version of Microsoft Edge based on Chromium. After several months of development in the "Dev" and "Canary" channels, the Chromium version of Microsoft Edge is available for download in the "Beta" channel for Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, and macOS.
Although the Beta Channel versions offer the most stable version of Microsoft Edge, the browser is still in preview, features may not work as expected, and new features are not added until they pass quality testing in the Canary and Developer Channels.
If you choose to download and install the Chromium-based Edge beta, you can expect new updates approximately every six weeks, along with regular smaller updates to improve security and stability.
