Windows 11: NEW Home tabs in File Explorer, Settings UI, AI components (Build 26217 and 22635.3640)
Notepad app for Windows 11 gets tabs support and you can download it now According to the official announcement, Notepad version 11.2212.33.0 is now rolling out to devices enrolled in the Dev Channel.
The Tabs feature works just like tabs in File Explorer and browser. Instead of opening multiple instances of the note app, you can work on multiple text files in the same instance of Notepad.
If the Tabs feature for Notepad works the same as it does in File Explorer, you'll be able to create and close tabs using special buttons in the interface above the File menu. You'll also be able to duplicate and rearrange tabs using the mouse. And you might be able to use keyboard shortcuts like "Ctrl + N" to create or "Ctrl + W" to close tabs.
