The new update was released on Sunday, June 28, and includes a new interactive weather map that is constantly updated, providing access to visual information on precipitation, temperature, cloud cover, satellites and radar for various regions, including North America, Asia, Africa and Europe.

Each card is colorful, interactive and its information is constantly changing, however you don't have much control, you can only pause or play the clip for the current forecast.

Also, the Windows 8 Weather app update brings a new section called Ski Resorts and offers more information on snow forecasts for 31 countries around the world. The latest app update Microsoft has released isn't much, but it brings some welcome improvements and UI tweaks, such as larger images in the daily forecast when you open the app, something similar to what you'll find in other updated apps like Sports, News, Travel, Maps, and the Finance app.
