The new update brings a number of features aimed at making the Xbox app more social and adding more control to the console experience. In addition, Microsoft will be delivering some new features to Xbox One and SmartGlass that have been highly requested by the community.

Although the company hasn't set a specific release date for the update, Microsoft also explains that the Xbox app will automatically update to the April Preview when it's available, jumping you to version 4.4.9014.0 or higher.
