Thanks to customer feedback, Microsoft will release a new Xbox One update on February 11 that not only fixes bugs and improves the console's performance, but also reintroduces the battery indicator on the dashboard. The company is also adding a way for users to manage the Xbox One's hard drive space, and Microsoft is splitting "My Games" and "My Apps" into two lists, making it much easier to manage your content.

How Microsoft feeds Gamepass
According to the company, the Xbox One update in February will offer "numerous behind-the-scenes updates for app and game developers" and is expected to include improvements in "Kinect voice quality, making commands smoother and more responsive."
A commonly requested feature of the Xbox One is the ability for users to manage the console's storage space. This means that users can now easily control what should and should not be on the 500GB hard drive. (As you'll recall, Microsoft stated at the launch of the gaming console that the system would automatically manage storage and you would only receive a warning when you were running low on space. However, after numerous user complaints, the company is now listening and changing this feature.) After installing the update, you will also be able to control your install list and manage your download queue.
The battery indicator will return and you'll see how much battery is left in your controller in the top right corner of your home screen (I wonder if you can also see the battery life of all the controllers connected to the Xbox One – probably just the primary one). Microsoft also says you can use your USB keyboard with your Xbox One.
