Windows 10 Build 21337: Xbox Auto HDR, File Explorer Compact Mode, Virtual Desktops
It was only a matter of time: During the dotNet conference in Madrid, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella confirmed to many developers that the company is working on bringing universal Windows 10 apps to the Xbox One.
The New Xbox One Experience (NXOE), which the company launched last year, brought the gaming console's operating system from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, making it possible to run universal apps on the Xbox One. However, the software giant did not allow developers to bring anything other than entertainment and social apps to the platform, but now that seems to be changing.
According to the enthusiast website Microsoft Insider, Satya Nadella has strongly hinted that universal apps from Windows 10 will be coming to the Xbox One, but he did not provide any more specific details about when exactly this will happen or which apps will be available on the console.
