Windows 10 for Phones Build 10051; What's New: Project Spartan, Outlook Mail/Calendar, and More
It's been a while since the last release, but today Microsoft is finally releasing a new preview of Windows 10 for mobile. Although the company is rolling out a new build via the Fast ring, which means more bugs and fewer workarounds, Build 10051 includes a number of new features and improvements.
If you're a Windows Insider and want to download the new version for phones, don't forget to get the Windows Insider app first, select the Insider Fast option, then go to Settings Apps/Update & recovery/Phone update and tap Check for updates.
Project Spartan: An early version of Microsoft's new web browser is now available for mobile phones. It uses the new rendering engine to provide better interoperability with the modern mobile web and includes early versions of Reading View and Reading List. Project Spartan is not currently the default browser and exists alongside IE11. You'll find it in the All Apps list and can pin it to your home screen from there.
