Windows 10 21H2, November 2021 Update: Installation via Windows Update
Windows 10 21H2 (November 2021 Update) is available as a free update for compatible computers starting November 16. This is the twelfth available feature update for desktops and tablets, introducing a very small set of improvements and features to improve the user experience.
Because the November 2021 Update is based on the same core system files available in versions 21H1, 20H2, and 2004, computers running the last three versions will receive the new update as a small activation package that installs as a cumulative update without requiring a clean install. However, this will not happen automatically, as it is an optional update that you must install manually.
However, if the device is running a version that is about to end its service life (e.g. version 1909), Windows 10 will automatically download and install the new version at some point.
