Microsoft released Windows 10 Build 10061 a few days ago, but a bug caused a black screen on the lock screen. Today, the software maker is rolling out a new update called KB3055415 that fixes the problem without requiring users to resort to workarounds.

"When you sign out of Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 10061 and return to the lock screen, you might see only a black screen with a responsive mouse pointer. Pressing the Alt+Tab or Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys has no visible effect," says Microsoft.
If the problem persists after installing the update, Microsoft recommends the following instructions:
The new update should download and install automatically, but if you can't wait, you can open the Settings apps, navigate to "Update and recovery," then go to "Windows Update" and check for new updates.
