Microsoft releases a new update for Windows 10 Build 10240, eight days before the operating system's release. This time, the software maker is releasing KB3074674, but there is currently no information about what the new patch fixes.
According to the Microsoft support page, KB3074674 is a cumulative security update that "resolves a vulnerability in Windows that could allow escalation of privilege when the Windows Installer service improperly runs custom action scripts."
"In addition, this update includes non-security changes to extend the functionality of Windows 10 with new features and improvements."
