Evolution of Windows startup sounds
Microsoft is releasing a non-final version of the Windows 10 19H2 update in the Release Preview ring to test the deployment method of the upcoming feature update, which the company plans to roll out as a cumulative update via Windows Update in the fall.
The version of Windows 10 available in the Release Preview ring is build 18363.327, which happens to be just one number higher than the version available in the Slow ring (18362.xxx). According to the software giant, the reason for the number change is to mark this version as a feature update.
If you want to test this pre-release build, the update is only available to a small group of Windows Insider program participants with devices enrolled in the Release Preview ring. However, if you're already testing a 19H2 development build in the Slow ring, Microsoft explains that you can't switch rings and download the preview (yet) due to the differences between the rings.
