Although Microsoft remains tight-lipped about upcoming Windows 10 features, it is not afraid to leak builds outside the company. PCPortal has published several new screenshots of Windows 10 Build 9901, a leaked version of the operating system that is not intended for the public.

Windows 10 Build 9901: Cortana, new apps, updated taskbar, settings and more

The screenshots from Build 9901 don't show any new changes to the Start menu, but they do show Cortana taking shape in the latest leaked version of Windows 10. In the screenshot below, you can see a normal search query in the new search box, which returns results from the web and apps. And above, you can see the distinctive Cortana button in the middle, with a Home button in the top left.

Windows 10 Build 9901 also shows off a new Settings app that has changed dramatically since Build 9888. Although the Settings app doesn't have its final look yet, we can see that it is changing and will resemble the Control Panel we see today in Windows 7 and Windows 8.
