Windows 10 Build 9901: Cortana, new apps, updated taskbar, settings and more

Perhaps one of the most noticeable changes in Windows 10 Build 9901 is the improved version of the digital assistant Cortana, which runs in the taskbar with its distinctive circular animation look and sounds. Although Cortana is not yet in its final form, we can now see where the company is heading with the features and look.

It will come as no surprise that Cortana for Windows 10 looks and behaves very similar to the version on Windows Phone. In Build 9901, the assistant partially works and seems much more responsive. She sits in the taskbar and appears as soon as you click on the search box.

If you are signed in with your Microsoft account, all your settings will be transferred from Windows Phone to the desktop version.
