As we already know, Windows 10 is Microsoft's next operating system that focuses more on businesses than on home users. While all the new changes will benefit everyone, it's mostly the users (like me) who use Windows daily with a keyboard and mouse that will benefit most. Many of these new features are now part of the Windows 10 Technical Preview, such as the new Start menu, universal windowed apps that run freely on the desktop, virtual desktops, and an improved Snap mode that helps users be more productive.

For IT pros, Microsoft is also adding some changes to the Command Prompt. In Build 9841, the company added standard features like text selection, cut, copy, and paste. But to my surprise, in the latest Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9860, the software giant finally allows users to maximize the Command Prompt and use the entire screen like normal applications do, instead of just extending a quarter of the screen like we were used to.

Additionally, in this latest preview, the prompt adjusts to the DPI settings for Retina display users.

This may not be a huge change, but it is certainly a huge improvement for all IT administrators who troubleshoot network access and Windows issues on a daily basis.
