URGENT! Change these settings NOW or your INTEL CPU may DIE*!
Microsoft is known to work with Intel to make its operating system run better on Intel processors, and if you happen to own a computer with the new sixth-generation Skylake processors, as is the case with the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book, you can look forward to a small speed boost.
According to AnandTech, the new Intel processors feature a new Speed Step technology, now called "Speed Shift," that allows the operating system to delegate control of voltage and frequency to the processor.
Benefits include faster control over ramping up and down the processor frequency and more precise control over the processor's states, allowing it to choose the optimal performance level when executing tasks, resulting in improved power management and greater system responsiveness.
