Windows 10 Evolution: Install Timelapse!
As promised, Microsoft is rolling out Windows 10 Mobile Build 10136 in the Fast Ring of Update on June 16, 2015. The new preview of the mobile operating system brings a number of new features and improvements over the previous build, such as new user interface optimizations, improvements to Cortana and built-in apps, bug fixes, and more.
However, Microsoft explains that Build 10136 is not completely ready yet and there is a bug that causes the upgrade to fail for users upgrading from Windows 10 Mobile Build 10080. Because of this, the company is only offering the new build to phones running Windows Phone 8.1 that are configured to receive new builds from the Fast Ring of updates.
The software maker recommends that any Windows Insider who wants to try out the new version first resets to Windows Phone 8.1 using the Windows Phone Recovery Tool. Users can then download the Windows Insider app from the Windows Phone Store and reconfigure the phone for the Fast Ring of updates.
