Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 10549
Microsoft has just released Windows 10 Mobile build 10549 for the Fast ring of updates. The new mobile build includes a number of fixes and improvements over build 10536, including improvements to Cortana, the messaging app, and various other changes.
Windows 10 Mobile Build 10549 is now available, but the software giant points out that the release of the new preview has a bug that blocks the installation of the new update in Build 10536. For this reason, the new build is only available for mobile phones running Windows Phone 8.1.
If you want to test the new build and are running build 10536, the company recommends using the Windows Device Recovery Tool to roll back to Windows Phone 8.1. Once you've rolled back to your previous version, you'll need to install the Windows Insider app, select the Fast Ring, and restart your phone. Only then can you download and install the new build.
