Backward compatibility for the new Xbox One experience

The biggest update to Xbox One finally has a release date. On October 26, during the Halo 5: Guardians worldwide launch event, Microsoft announced that the first major update to Xbox One — the one that brings Windows 10 to the platform and includes backwards compatibility with Xbox 360 games — will be officially available to everyone on November 12.

While some Xbox One owners were able to preview the optional "New Xbox One Experience" version of the new operating system, the experience wasn't always smooth, and reverting to the original image completely wiped the console.

But it's all about improving the software. After all the intensive testing, all the major bugs are fixed and Windows 10 on Xbox One is ready for prime time.
