If you've signed up for the Windows Insider program at this point and moved to the Fast ring of updates, you're probably already testing Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9879 and probably already know that this new version brings a lot of changes since Build 9860.

For example, you can now hide the Search and Task View (virtual desktop) buttons from the taskbar, OneDrive and File Explorer have been improved, there are new touchpad gestures, and even the clutter effect when minimizing and restoring windows has been optimized.

If you're not already using Windows 10 build 9879, you'll need to be signed in to your computer with a Windows Insider account and as an administrator. Then, from your current build 9860 installation, go to PC Settings, Update & Recovery, under Build Preview, select "Quick" from the dropdown menu, and then click "Check Now" to start the upgrade process.

Alternatively, Microsoft makes the ISO files available for download for each build, but only for the versions released in the slow update ring for the Windows Insider program. However, if you don't want to wait, you can download the Enterprise version, which is released in the fast update ring.
