Fix All Windows Update Error Issues in Windows 11/10 (2023)
Microsoft quickly releases cumulative update KB3120677 for Windows 10 version 1511 to fix settings issues. The new update titled “Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511: November 24, 2015” aims to fix the issue where some settings may not have been retained after installing the November Update.
After Microsoft pulled its first major update from the Media Creation Tool on November 24, the company explained that the real reason for removing the update was a bug that caused "some setting preferences for Advertising ID, background apps, SmartScreen Filter, and sync with devices may have been inadvertently not preserved." Update KB3120677 fixes the issue for those users who previously installed Windows 10 version 1511 and brings the build number to 10586.14.
In addition, the company has restored the November Update for those customers who prefer to use the Media Creation Tool when upgrading to create an ISO file and perform an in-place upgrade or clean installation of the operating system.
