Windows 10 Build 14279 for PC: Hands-on experience with Cortana, new login and settings features
Although Microsoft has just released its first major update to Windows 10, that doesn't mean the work is done with it. Windows as a Service is an ongoing process, and today we hear that Cortana and Action Center will be getting some very useful improvements in the next major update to Windows 10, which we know as Redstone.
According to The Verge, a source familiar with the development, the software giant is currently testing "Cortana floating around in Windows 10."
Rumor has it that the new version of Cortana for the desktop version of Windows 10 will include the ability to hover on the operating system's interface. Perhaps Microsoft's digital assistant, similar to the character Clippy, will appear contextually over documents and provide information and other types of assistance when needed in a non-intrusive way. The new approach will make Cortana smarter and allow the assistant to control even more functions.
