Windows 10 Build 18272: Hands-on experience with new features and changes
The upcoming major Windows 10 update, currently codenamed Redstone, is set to arrive later this year. It's expected to be a more substantial update than version 1511, which the company released last November, but it seems the company is re-prioritizing and cutting features and changes from the original plan.
According to Petri, the software giant is focused on improving OneCore for Windows 10 Redstone, the cross-device core of Windows. And we're already seeing those changes, as the company has already revealed that there have been some code refactorings and other technical work to optimize OneCore in the operating system.
The idea behind the updates to OneCore is to enable the team to be more productive in repairing and improving the operating system and thus to be able to deliver new Windows 10 builds to Insiders more quickly.
