Microsoft is preparing to finalize Windows 10 for a July launch. Not long ago, in April, AMD CEO Lisa Su announced that Windows 10 would launch in late July, but Microsoft did not comment on the date, the company only said that the operating system would launch in the summer.
Today, according to sources familiar with the plans, it was revealed that Microsoft is indeed targeting July as a possible launch date. The Verge claims that July 29th is the date to mark on your calendar, as that was one of the originally planned launch dates and the software maker is working to complete Windows 10 RTM by the end of June. In addition, Russian leaker WZor, a person known for leaking credible Microsoft information, claimed earlier this week that Windows 10's launch was confirmed for July 2015.
The million-dollar question remains whether the operating system will be ready in time for the July release date. We've seen a number of preview builds of Windows 10, but the code doesn't seem ready for prime time yet. There are a number of bugs that Microsoft still needs to fix before releasing the final code. Internally, the company is close to completing Windows 10, features are locked down, and engineers are only focused on fixing bugs rather than adding more features.
