Windows 10 October 2018 Update, version 1809, new features
Microsoft is now confident that business users will be able to upgrade to Windows 10 version 1809, October 2018 Update. Although the feature update was originally released on October 2, 2018, the company was forced to halt the rollout due to a bug that caused some users to lose data.
Then, several weeks later, on November 13, 2018, it began rolling out the feature update again, but only to a limited set of supported devices, and now, on March 28, 2019, nearly six months later, Microsoft has updated its Windows 10 release information website (via ZDNet) to indicate that the October 2019 Update is ready for enterprise deployment.
The news comes just weeks before the company completes its next major update, the Windows 10 April 2019 Update, which will ultimately replace the October 2018 Update.
