Windows 10 1903: Does it increase Ryzen performance? Maybe NOT!

In addition to the new features and improvements, the Windows 10 May 2019 Update, version 1903, also makes some internal changes to improve performance on devices with AMD Ryzen processors.

While AMD CPUs already have a price-performance advantage over Intel because they are cheaper and offer more cores per processor, single-core performance has been a disadvantage until now. However, the company says that Ryzen processors starting with the third generation offer up to 21 percent better single-thread performance.

And it's not just because of the improvements AMD is making with its new 7nm silicon technology. Part of the problem was that Windows 10 couldn't use the many cores in the processor efficiently, but starting with the May 2019 Update, that's changing.
