Microsoft says Windows 10 will launch this summer. Previously, we heard from Microsoft's Kevin Turner that the company plans to release the next version of the operating system in late summer or early fall. Today, we get a more concrete timeframe: According to Terry Myerson, the software maker is on track to release Windows 10 in the summer.
In a new article on the Windows blog, Terry Myerson confirms that the company is making "great progress" in development and plans to release Windows 10 in 190 countries and 111 languages this summer.
As we already know, the company is also providing current users of Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 with a free operating system upgrade for one year, now including PCs running a pirated copy of the operating system.
