Windows 11 24H2: Upgrade from 23H2 or 22H2 (early)
Microsoft is beginning to automatically roll out Windows 11 23H2 to computers still running versions 22H2 and 21H2. Although the "2023 Update" was originally released on October 31, 2023, the update was available as an optional update for compatible devices. However, starting February 20, 2024, the company started the other rollout phase in which version 23H2 will be made available automatically through Windows Update.
The Dashboard Health website states in the status that Microsoft is now “beginning to automatically update eligible Windows 11 devices to version 23H2.”
According to the announcement, the upgrade to Windows 11 23H2 will be phased in using "machine learning (ML) training" with devices that "have reached or are approaching end of service." For reference, version 21H2 reached end of service on October 10, 2023, and version 22H2 will reach end of support on October 8, 2024.
