Windows 11 24H2 NEW: AI Recall, Copilot app and features (Build 26100.712 & 26100.863)
Windows 11 24H2 (2024 Update) will introduce a number of new features, with a focus on AI. In this guide, I'll go over these AI-centric features and highlight their importance and explain how they improve your experience.
In this new version of the operating system, you can expect at least seven new AI features running on the device, including Windows Recall, Windows Studio Effects, Live Captions (real-time translations), Super Resolution, Voice Clarity, Cocreator for the Paint app, and Restyle Image for the Photos app. (These features are exclusive to Copilot+ PCs.)
The new features are made possible by the new “Windows Copilot Runtime”, a system component of Windows 11 that integrates over 40 AI models running locally on the computer and provides the infrastructure for their maintenance.
