Microsoft is releasing an update to remove the "Get Windows 10" app that for months urged Windows 7/8.1 users to upgrade to Windows 10. The new update comes nearly two months after the company ended its free promotional offer to upgrade older versions of the operating system.
The update you need to install is KB3184143. According to the Microsoft support site, it "removes the 'Get Windows 10' app and other software related to the free upgrade offer for Windows 10 that expired on July 29, 2016."
