How to easily download Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 64 bit and 32 bit | Download SP1 for Windows 7
Microsoft is making it easier for its users to keep Windows 7 up to date with the release of the "Convenience Rollup." If you're still using Windows 7, you're probably familiar with how Windows Update works after a clean install: You install the operating system and then wait for hours to download and install the 200+ updates that have been released since the operating system was released.
Although the software giant is investing a lot of time in working on Windows 10, the company is aware that millions of computers are still running good old Windows 7. To make it easier for users and organizations to install updates, Microsoft is now making the "Windows 7 SP1 Convenience Rollup" available.
The Convenience Rollup (KB3125574) is a new package that we can call a cumulative update. It contains all security and non-security fixes released since Microsoft released Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 through April 2016, all in one update. (To be clear, this is NOT Windows 7 SP2.) However, the new package does not contain updates for .NET or Internet Explorer 11.
