Get security updates for Windows 8.1 until 2026!
The new update brings new improvements and features to Microsoft Windows 8, but this time it focuses less on touchscreens and keyboards, although there are some improvements in that area as well. The Windows 8.1 Update also includes all previously released security and non-security updates for the operating system.

Microsoft is officially releasing the update for Windows 8.1 on April 8, but the company made the update available to MSDN and TechNet subscribers on April 2. I've been using the update on my primary computer since April 2, and as a mouse and keyboard user, I'm extremely happy. I can now switch and navigate between the desktop and the Metro-like environment faster and easier. And while I really like the Start screen, I'm already looking forward to the update to bring back the Start menu.
