This is a valid argument, as many users are considering purchasing a Surface with Windows 8 Pro as their primary device with connection to an external monitor.
In response, Microsoft said, "The Windows team is working hard on this feature to resolve the issue for all high-resolution Windows devices." Microsoft confirmed that they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix. However, a release date for the fix has not yet been set.
