Xbox 360 Dashboard Post Marketplace Tour August 2024
The next time you turn on your game console, you'll be prompted to download the latest update. Then, when you try to make a purchase, you'll find that it's in your local currency. When you redeem a Microsoft Points card, the company converts the points into "real" money.
As part of the recent Xbox 360 system update, Microsoft Points are being retired and transactions on Xbox 360 will now be made in your local currency* instead of Microsoft Points. This gives you a new, convenient way to purchase exciting Xbox content. With this change, you can use a single Microsoft account to purchase content from your Xbox 360 and apps from the Windows Phone Store for users with a Windows Phone 8!
Microsoft Points are being phased out worldwide and the new currency change is currently available in 41 countries. For more information on how the change might affect you, check out an article from Microsoft that answers all your questions.
